Ah….orange gear.  So pretty and yet so moddable at the same time.  As a synthweaver, I never paid much attention to crafting orange gear as I was leveling.  I was too busy reverse engineering the schematics that I bought in order to get a critical purple item (and spending a TON of credits in the process).  Most people don’t realize that at level 50, a good portion, if not all of your schematics are worthless as the daily quest rewards and operations give mods that are to be used in orange equipment.

As a result, more and more players are acquiring orange gear before they hit level 50.  If you have any of the crafting professions that can craft orange gear such as synthweaving or armortech, you should try to obtain any orange schematics that you can.  There are several schematics for orange gear that can be used by players in the high teens and mid 30′s.  Once crafted, these items typically sell quickly since players are eager to get orange gear and start putting their mods in them.

So, if you have hit level 50 and are looking for a way to make a few credits, start crafting lower level orange gear.  You may be surprised at how quickly you make a profit!
